What’s your favorite song this week?
Hello everyone, welcome back to learn English with Cullen
Can you guess what the lesson is about this week?
It’s about your favorite song?
What is your favorite song this week?
Last time we talked about some of the different genres of music
Which included Rock
Pop and classical
To name just a few
So this week let’s talk about where you listen to music
Do you listen to music on the street?
At your local market?
On your phone?
On the radio?
In the car?
On your bike?
At your friends?
On Youtube or on a music app such as Spotify, or do you use something else to listen to music?
Like listening on a record
Or on a tape cassette?
Or on a CD?
Or on a gramophone?
So in today’s lesson, we are using some images that tell us something about music
Let’s look at the first image here of the three men on stage
What music might they be playing?
And with the women in image number 2
What music might they be playing, and why do you think this is the genre or kind of music they are playing?
And in the third image
What music might he be playing?
And in the fourth image
What music might she be playing?
This is a great way to make a guess as we can’t hear the music
