Thursday’s English lesson 35 slow speaking class spending time with friends or family

Welcome back to our next lesson on spending time with friends or family.

This weekend a member of our team here at EATT Magazine is planning on meeting up with friends.

First, for a drink at a local cafe, they plan to go for lunch.

Then after lunch, everyone will have a nap.

After their nap, they all plan to meet for some refreshing drinks, which include homemade lemonade.

Cullen that’s me is bringing some lemons to his friends place so they can make it there before dinner.

Here is the lemonade recipe they will be using

Ingredients:
4 or 5 big juicy ripe lemons
1 cup of raw or white sugar or they could half a cup honey
5 cups of water

Instructions:

Wash the lemons with warm water.

Roll the lemons on a firm surface, so they become soft, and the juice is released inside the lemon.

Then Slice up the lemons.

Next place the lemons and the sugar or honey in a large bowl

Then using a masher or a wooden spoon mash it up together until the sugar is dissolved.

Chill the mixture in the fridge for about half an hour.

Then strain the lemon and sugar or honey mixture into a large jug.

and then add just 4 cups of water and stir

Taste it to make sure it’s not too sweet or if it is to sour for you.

Add more water if it is needed.

Pour in the lemonade into cups or glasses and add sliced lemons to each drink
