Fridays faster speaking English class number 40

Welcome to our next lesson where we talk about a few words our students did not understand.

Top

Any

Cheapest

Transport

Let’s start with the word

Top

What is the meaning of the word.

Top?

The top can mean the highest

or the uppermost point,

part, or surface of something.

Similar words could be

Highest point

or tip

And it is used in the word

Mountaintop

So we could use it in a sentence like

Mary stood at the top of the stairs.

Top can also mean a lid, a cover, or cap.

So we can use it when we talk about “beer bottle tops.”
