Pablo helped the old woman with her bags of shopping to the lift and carefully placed them down.
They could hear yelling coming from an apartment near the lift
on the first floor
Pablo raised one eyebrow looking questioningly towards Silvia
“Sounds like the rats are among the rubbish Pablo,” Silvia said.
Silvia continued “well now yes, Pablo thank you, run along now
Fortune favors the brave”.
Pablo was not sure why Silvia used the word brave when he was just
carrying her things to the lift
But he wondered if that was what Silvia was talking about?
Being brave by going past the yelling to the lift?
English is a funny language, Pablo thought.
He smiled, thinking about how Silvia had called the loud people rats.
Why did Silvia use the word brave?
