Pablo was recalling

Part 7, Chapter 1

Pablo was recalling some of his new phrases to ask people to slow down.

“Yes, could you repeat that just one more time slower, please.”

or “can you say that slowly again, please.”

or “thank you, can you repeat that please” while raising his eyebrows.

That made people smile and slow down the last phrase.

Pablo tried to use simple words in conversations. He was timid and even shy at one time when he was younger, trying to speak English.

So he would practice in front of the mirror.

Puffing his chest out as he had seen his friends do when they were trying to speak more confidently to a foreigner in his home country.
