He knew exactly what he had to get.

Most people in the city were wearing masks down due to unusual pollution. The pollution was caused by a combination of a strange sea fog in the winter mixing with factory smog, diesel fumes, and forest fires from countries far away that had made it hard for some people to breathe this year.

Pablo had always worn his mask on his bike on foggy or smoggy days.

He was used to it as his doctor had told him years ago it was important to wear one when breathing fast or deeply on his bike when riding around the city but was not needed in the countryside away from the pollution.

He could also see the dark marks on his mask after a long ride and was pleased he was not breathing those particles in.

Pablo thanked the doctor and promised he would do as she asked as

he wanted to get better.

He left the doctor’s clinic quickly.

He knew exactly what he had to get so he could stay at home for the next few weeks without going crazy.
